In my latest role as Regional HR Director for IKEA Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand, an independent IKEA franchisee in South East Asia based in Singapore, we built, developed and implemented a people direction – aligning the HR function to support a growing strategy to open one IKEA store every year and a shopping centre every second year in the next 10 years.
Substantially improvements made to reduce staff turnover (from 65% to 30%), increase employee individual engagement (from index 600 to 725) and deliver a better succession to meet current and future needs of the company through a robust retention strategy to maintain and develop competence
Created and supported the implementation of the overall people strategin for Ikano group (divisions in Financial services, Real Estate, Insurance, Retail and Production/Manufacturing). Developed a strategic leadership foundation with tools and methods for improved leadership.
